London to Ibiza

I decided that a graduation holiday was needed and where better to celebrate than in the party Island of Ibiza. So this August my friend and I jetted off for seven days of non-stop partying!

Hotel Puchet

For the entire length of our holiday in Ibiza we stayed at Hotel Puchet, a 3 star hotel in Sant Antoni de Portmany (San Antonio). The hotel was very clean and the rooms were a good size. Additionally, the hotel had a supermarket to the side of it which I found to be very useful for buying snacks and alcohol. However, there were some minor cons to this hotel. There was only one pool area which did get quite crowded at peak times. As well as that we were unfortunate enough to get a room without a pool view, meaning that our balcony was overlooked by other holiday makers.

Amenities at this hotel included:

Breakfast and Dinner if you half board, which we did;
Two snack bars including refreshments such as vodka slush puppies;
A games area with a pool table; and
A Gym.

Party places in Ibiza

I wanted to make the most out of Ibiza, so we went to quite a few of the events that the island had to offer. My two favourites were:

Ushuaïa, Playa d'en Bossa

By far my best day in Ibiza was spent at Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, a beautiful hotel based in Playa d'en Bossa, that has an extensive pool area for pool parties, but also doubles up as an Open Air Club. We went to Tinie Tempah's 'Disturbing Ibiza' Concert, and got to see performances from both him and Kid Ink, which I would say was definitely the highlight of my holiday. My friend and I spent the night in the V.I.P area so we were complimented with champagne all night long which was great. I had such a good time at Ushuaïa and it would absolutely be at the top of my list if I were to go back to Ibiza.

 Ocean Beach Ibiza, Sant Antoni de Portmany

On our first full day in Ibiza, we went to Ocean Beach Ibiza. It was a pool party, with entertainment including dancers and other performers. Luckily for us, our pool bed was right in front of the main pool area. I did have a really fun time at Ocean Beach, although I would say it is a little bit overrated and not as flamboyant as I believed it to be.

Beach Babe

During my stay in Ibiza, when I felt like I needed some time out from the partying to relax, I visited some of the local beaches.

S'Arenal de San Antonio

S'Arenal de San Antonio, is the main beach in Sant Antoni de Portmany. This beach was in walking distance from the hotel we were staying at, so I found that it was a good beach to visit when still a little tired from the previous night, or if we wanted to have a beach day before a night out. As well as this, opposite the beach there were a number of food and drink places and even a park. Overall, this beach was lovely and definitely suited to those with young children.

Playa d'en Bossa Beach

Playa d'en Bossa's beach, was a fun beach to go to when we were looking to have a proper beach day. Like S'Arenal de San Antonio, along the stretch of Playa d'en Bossa beach there were a number of restaurants and bars to get refreshments from. I also found the location of this beach to be most desirable, as it is very close to my personal favourite, Ushuaïa. I would say this beach was more orientated towards an adult crowd.

Other Places We Visited in Ibiza

There are plenty of other fun places to go to in Ibiza, that we visited during our holiday. A few are listed below.

Café Mambo Ibiza, a beachfront bar located in Sant Antoni de Portmany where you can have drinks whilst watching the beautiful sunset.

Eden Ibiza, is a club which is also located in Sant Antoni de Portmany. We attended the 'Defected In The House' event there.

The Ibiza Strip, a strip of clubs in Sant Antoni de Portmany where you can have a good night out if you don't want to go to one of the actual events.

Café del mar Ibiza, a bar located adjacent to Café Mambo Ibiza.

Overall, I had an amazing holiday in Ibiza! It is definitely somewhere that I would want to go back to, as I still feel like there are many more events and places I want to visit there. If you are looking for a fun filled party getaway, Ibiza is definitely the place to visit. I would also recommend to anyone who is thinking to go to Ibiza next year, to take a look at the Ibiza Spotlight Party Calendar, as this will let you know when all of the good events are on. I hope you enjoyed reading all about my 2017 graduation holiday.

  1. Interesting post! Loved reading your article about Dubai daydreaming. I am planning to get an Express Dubai Visa and visit Dubai next week. Heard that Ski Dubai is a tourist favourite. Would love to spend some time over there.
