I am generally up for trying new things and with summer coming to an end and most other things to do already exhausted, I thought it would be a good idea to head down to Lewisham and check out its model market, Street Feast! As I am familiar with the area and know that there isn't a great amount to do I wasn't expecting much, however I have to say that the market far outstretched my expectations of it, so much so that I've been back more than once!
Lewisham's Model Market is located in the old shell of what was locally referred to as 'The Black Market' near Lewisham Shopping Centre.
In the indoor, outdoor style market there are a vast selection of different types of street food, including Asian, Caribbean and Italian. The idea is to allow people to try as many different cuisines as possible meaning that prices are low which is always a bonus!
Some of the foods that I tried included...
Baz and Fred's Pizza, £6.50
Out of all of the different foods that I tried, Baz and Fred's Pizza was my personal favourite. I liked the fact that you got the option to have some additional pesto sauce with your pizza, and the added fresh oregano was a nice touch to it. Overall it was simply delicious!
Mother Clucker:
Cajun Chips, £2.00
Chicken Strips, £5.00
Rola Wala Twisted Indian Street Food: Kashmiri Chicken, £3.50

I really enjoyed Mother Clucker's Cajun chips which tasted very similar to the Cajun style chips at Five Guys, however I was dissatisfied with their Chicken Strips which I found a little bland.
The Chicken Tikka on Rola Wala's Kashmiri Chicken was nice but for me the mango sauce on top of it ruined it for me as I felt that it overpowered all of the other flavours.
The South East Brownie Bar: Brownie Bite Honeycomb, £1.50
The Brownie Bar's honeycomb brownie was nice if not a little bit dry, but at such an affordable price who could resist!
There is also a bar at the back for those who prefer to drink. The whole ambience of the market is fun and relaxed. You almost forget that you're in Lewisham as the place has a Shoreditch-esque vibe to it making this market a fantastic addition to the local area.
Things to note:
The Market opens at 5pm and finishes at 1am.
Entry is free before 7pm and £3 from 7pm onwards.
Unfortunately the market will close on October 3rd so head down there as soon as possible!
Shoreditch also has a Street Feast which closes on October 4th and is just as fun so is worth checking out!
Thanks for reading and if you have visited any of the street feasts or are planning on going let me know what you think!
